Professional Presentations & Speaking Engagements

I offer engaging and thought-provoking presentations for occupational therapy (OT) students, practitioners, educators, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. Drawing from my experience as an occupational therapist, professor, and holistic wellness practitioner, my presentations explore topics at the intersection of OT, healthcare, spirituality, intuition, mindfulness, clinical reasoning, and holistic care.

Each presentation is grounded in current evidence while creating space for reflection, discussion, and personal growth. Participants leave with practical tools, fresh perspectives, and greater confidence in integrating these concepts into their professional and personal lives.

Topics can be delivered as standalone presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, or customized learning experiences tailored to the unique needs of your audience.

SpiritualOT 101: Examining the Role of Spirit in Occupational Therapy Practice

This presentation explores the role of spirituality in occupational therapy and its importance in delivering holistic, client-centered care. Through a review of historical context, theory, evidence, and interactive reflection, participants will deepen their understanding of spirituality as an essential component of practice and explore ways to integrate it into clinical care through self-reflection and discussion.

SpiritualOT 102: From Awareness to Action — Moving Beyond Knowing Spirituality Is Important to Confidently Integrating It in Daily Practice

Designed for OT students and professionals who have completed SpiritualOT 101, this presentation moves beyond understanding the importance of spirituality to exploring its practical integration into everyday occupational therapy practice. Participants will examine spiritual assessment, intervention planning, and referral considerations while developing confidence in addressing spirituality as part of holistic, client-centered care. Through discussion, reflection, and experiential learning, attendees will gain practical tools to support the meaningful integration of spirituality throughout the OT process.

Listening with the OT Heart: The Vital Role of Intuitive Reasoning in Practice

This presentation explores the often-overlooked role of intuition in occupational therapy clinical reasoning. Participants will examine intuition as a legitimate, evidence-informed form of reasoning rooted in neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and embodied knowledge. Through discussion, reflection, and case examples, attendees will explore how intuitive reasoning complements analytical thinking, enhances therapeutic use of self, and supports truly client-centered care. Practical strategies for cultivating and ethically applying intuition in both education and practice will also be discussed.
